Learning Dvorak is a Trick! I’ve got most the characters learned, but I get so focused, my shoulders tense up and man, my right one is sooore
So that was nice. Overwatch is my go to de-stressor when I get fixated (in this case anxious) about things. Don’t exactly have that at work. Working on learning Dvorak between tasks seemed to function a lot like playing Overwatch for me and really helped. Woo!
As a typist, I feel like I should learn Dvorak, so that has been my project for today, to start that. Took long enough just to figure out how to change my keyboard settings, but got it and found a free training program. Woot! U is hard, but I tentatively have that down along with e, h, and t.
Today’s adventure in PMSing: Anxiety!!
So I’ve kept up with doing maybe 5 minutes of stretching every morning and evening as well as reducing my caffeine intake. Three days out of the week I don’t let myself have any caffeinated beverage and all but Saturday I get exactly one.
The last couple of days it’s been a struggle to make myself do my stretching and today I caved on a caffeine ‘off’ day (tho tbf I only had one drink on my only two drink day the day before…).
Looked at my period tracker earlier this evening and I’m 2-4 days out to my period. Ah ha! Hahaha So that’s what’s up
My view right now:

I feel like food delivery workers must get to see a lot of interesting stuff haha. I just collected my food from a driver in a pair of pink pajama bottoms with little fishbowls being checked out by cats in snorkels and flippers along with a grey pajama button up top from a different pajama set with just kitty faces of various colors and the word MEOW between the faces. At like 1 in the afternoon. Haha. And I can’t help but suspect it wasn’t the weirdest or most amusing thing he’s seen all day. He certainly didn’t seem remotely phased.
I’ve been working stretches into my morning evening routines. Nothing big. It probably takes me less than five minutes. I am not a fan of actually doing most of The Things, but my body sure does feel great Afterwards! It’s weird though because that feeling isn’t motivation enough. That’s not why I’m doing it. I’m doing it to try and reduce daily shoulder/hip/wrist pains from my computer work. And still it’s a struggle to get myself to do it every day. It’s rediculous!
I had a really amusing water cooler moment at work yesterday. I was heading to fill my decently sized water bottle at the same time this man was coming to fill his bottle, which was a little over half the size of my bottle. We saw each other heading in the same direction and we both stop.
“Ladies first.” He tells me, gesturing toward the water cooler.
“Mine’s bigger than yours.” I say, waving him toward it. Obviously I’m thinking that it makes sense for him to go first because it will take him less time. But he starts to smile, and my brain realizes what I’ve done. “I… didn’t mean for it to come out like that.”
Laughing, he says, “Hashtag me too? Can I say that?”
“Well, do you feel harassed? Although in my defense, there’s no arguing that objectively, my water bottle is bigger than yours. Other than that, well, there’s just no way of knowing!”
This said, I laughed, and he did too, though there was the tiniest of flicks of his eyes downward. I don’t think that’s how he thought I was going to finish that and had a ‘wait what?’ moment but ¯_(^‿^)_/¯
And by that time, I had finished filling my water bottle, so I walked away from the water cooler, thus ending the water cooler moment.
AHAHAHHA! He just walked by and called me ‘Trouble’ and I asked a coworker who he was and he’s a boss of a boss of another unit. Omg XD
