people are really praising sarah ferguson for her interview with steve bannon???? she really grilled him???? i watched that interview and all i was left with was fear and horror, because he’s a really slick media operator and didn’t once seem flustered and why the hell are you giving a slick right wing fascist 45 minutes on prime time tv, therefore legitimising his views????
Well, I guess the circle-jerking from fellow journalists makes more sense now, it’s a theoretical exercise for most of them:
@mswyrr Right??? I agree, but it’s not even really an issue of freedom of speech, people have said they hate him and will boycott the festival. They’re perfectly entitled to do that and to tell the festival why they’re doing that. They’re not obligated to buy tickets and going listen to this human cancer. Meanwhile, just this week Chelsea Manning was denied entry to Australia for a speaking event because of her “criminal history” (to say nothing of David Petraeus who they were totally fine with letting in) and I didn’t see any of these folks up in arms about freedom of speech, etc.
