This week has been a bit of a trip. Actually, much of this later half of this month has. My doc thinks I could have gerd, so I’ve been reducing my caffeine intake. It’s a work in progress. She also thinks I could maybe have some referred back pain going on (though I haven’t exactly been in any pain…), so she has me doing stretches for my back and I’ve incorporated quite a few extra stretches and some pushups.
So between the energization of some extra physical activity and the lethargy of lowered amounts of caffeine (and maybe even minor withdrawals for a day or two?), it’s been… interesting.
I’ve been cleaning off and on all week. I tend to live in a clutter/mess and I’ve been feeling the need to tidy up at least 50% from what I’m used to. I’d planned to do at least an hour a day after work, but I’ve had family events pop up.
On top of all of that, two of my uncles have been in the hospital this week. One of them had a successful surgery and the other is in isolation with newly discovered cancer. Possibly two types??? I’m not particularly close to him, but I’m worried about my mom. Found this out yesterday.
Today, I find out that my childhood friend’s father went to the hospital as well for some heart problems. He had to get surgery and she thinks that he’s alright now, but his health has always been a little touch and go.
BUT, my (awesome) college roommate whom I haven’t seen since 2011 is coming to visit me all through the weekend and it’s going to be a blast and is one of the reasons I spent the last hour cleaning despite being suuuuper fucking tired from spending time with family and a screaming baby.
So yeah… it’s been… and interesting week
