Ok quite honestly I deny the statement that “internet activism” isn’t “real activism” like… yeah its quieter and it allows you to stay safer, but when you think about how influential the internet is and how fast ideas can be spread through it, it’s awfully short sighted to say it does nothing. Like…. it’s explicitly used to distribute information and ideas, and it can be used to create cultural revolutions and organize people in so many different ways, and you’re gonna tell me it doesn’t bleed into the real world?

given how effective stormfront and 4chan are on the other side of things…yeah. real life activism is important too, but internet activism is more influential than people want to think.
