That Selkie is going to ditch her sealskin and come back to ask that lady out for coffee.

I know this is cute AF. 
This lady’s probably on a tour in southern Argentina, in Patagonia.

But I’m going to be that person and say if you see a seal on the beach, please leave the seal alone.

Give the seal space – 20 feet at least. Don’t approach it closely enough to touch it, even if the seal is very young. If the seal is distressed or far inland (this does happen) find and call a marine life or animal welfare group. In New Zealand the Department of Conservation can help. If there’s something that you can do, they’ll let you know.

Yeah, where I live both elephant seals and sea lions have been known to attack humans. I would not let one cozy up to me on the beach.
