brownsunbisexual:

Okay but let’s talk about Stephanie Beatriz, an actual bi woman.

She must have lobbied hard for canonically bisexual Rosa. She must have kept asking and asking and asking the writers and producers for this. She didn’t give up on it. She didn’t bait fans and let them down. She genuinely wanted to play a bi character, and imbibe all her hopes, fears, and experiences into that character.

And the way she acted in the scene in which she comes out to Charles is so fucking genuine. You can see that Rosa is hanging back a bit, and looks a little scared/on the defensive. No matter how confident and tough Rosa is, she doesn’t want to be rejected her closest friends. And every bi woman and to be honest every LGBT fan can absolutely relate to that feeling of being on the defensive/being scared/being cautious.

Stephanie Beatriz, an actual bi woman, is going to bring to life a canonically bi character in ways that straight actors will never be able to. Thank you Stephanie, I love you!
