I’m glad people are being taken to task for harassment, but I don’t understand why anyone is shocked at how prevalent it is. 

I stopped watching sitcoms decades ago because most of the jokes were hatefully misogynist. Some of the most supposedly “feminist” male characters on television were written harassing coworkers and it was played as an effective and perfectly expected behavior. 

The casting director/producer/etc. being sexually predatory is such a goddamn trope that it’s fucking assumed as normal and shows up constantly in fiction.

The only surprising thing now is that people seem to care.
