Progressive folks need to understand that saying “I’m sorry I offended you” takes the responsibility away from your own words and actions and pins the onus onto the person being affected, and implies the situation wouldn’t exist if they had more bulletproof sensibilities.
Is it so fucking hard to say “I’m sorry for what I said”?? What the fuck is up with people and being physically incapable of owning up to missteps.
