Just came across another RL instance of a well-meaning person equating finding a good man with being successful in life.
Are we EVER going to break through this stupid cultural expectation?
It does so much harm. How many women right this minute are feeling worthless because they don’t have a romantic partner–or because they married someone unworthy of them, based on insecurity and hope?
I mean, yeah, good relationships are good. I’d love to be in one. But please, society, stop with this insidious insistence that I’m somehow less for being single.
