I kinda hate Tumblr’s system. Like, I’ll seen stuff on my dash where the original post is an opinion I don’t agree with and therefore wouldn’t want to give op a heart for it. But I’ll like the rebuttal that’s what put the post on my dash in the first place. If I give it a heart, op will see it as agreement since the original poster gets no indication of which reblog is getting the like. (I believe comments work in the same vein here.) But I also don’t always want to reblog the post for various reasons. So there’s really no simple way to signal approval to the rebutter without the op feeling validated. 😓
