maybe politicians and the super rich are so worried about poor people cheating the system to survive because they think we’re like them and want more money than we could possibly spend … at the tax payers expense, which is exactly what they do for themselves. They’re worried we cheat the system for money to live on because they cheat the system for billions to sit on.

Nah, it can be both. Like they look at the system and think “These people have to be taking advantage because I know I would.” Like when Huckabee confessed he’d be a sexual predator if he’d known about transgender people, and that’s why he wants to keep trans people from being able to utilize public spaces. It’s possible to have more than one motive, to differing degrees, and I think they do.
