I mean please for fuck’s sake, please let’s acknowledge that gay cis white men have MASSIVE privilege over every other person who belongs in and should be protected by the LGBT+ community. Let’s acknowledge that that is a large part of why ‘gay’, despite being currently still used as a slur is not considered a bad word (unlike ‘queer’ which people complain about). Because gay men have most of the influential power. It’s their word. It’s THE word. 

And so they discriminate the most against other queer people. Don’t for a second think they don’t massively contribute to the perceptions of lesbians as ugly, unwashed, nasty mean women. Or to the erasure of bisexuals, the objectification of trans people.  Cis white monosexual privilege, even partial, makes them prone to ignoring the needs of others and participating in discrimination.
