How did he win? Because in the mainstream media’s efforts to be “fair and balanced”, they treated Trump’s crimes and Clinton’s errors as if they were the same. Trump’s decades of shady business practices were glossed over, while Clinton was constantly painted as being untrustworthy. Trump can parade his ignorance and promise pie in the sky without being called upon to defend his proposals, while Clinton constantly was questioned about what her well-stated policies were. Trump got treated like an entertainment figure while Clinton got treated like a politician. Trump’s appalling statements were chalked up to him not being a “polished politician”, while Clinton was flailed if she put a toe out of line.
So don’t at all surprised and shocked that the beast that you helped build is now loose and going to devour the entire country to appease his ego.
