So today a guy tried to tell me it was inappropriate to say Donald Trump is comparable to Hitler, like I was being callous and oh-so-typical for name-dropping Hitler in the conversation.
Like. Mate. Bro. I totally agree there’s a time and a place for comparing people to Hitler.
That time and place is right fucking here and now.
So, I’m married into a Jewish family and have many good friends who are Jewish. Let me be clear: Several of them compare Donald Trump to Hitler with actual fear in their voices. Not only fear that Trump will treat Hispanic people like Hitler treated Jews, but fear that Trump will come for them. Like so many populist demagogues have done before.
That time and place is right fucking here and now.
