Did you see my last post? I do not hate gay people as human beings. I am concerned about their lifestyle and behavior, because as stats seem to show, when they live out the “gay lifestyle,” they really aren’t as happy as what popular media portrays them to be. They will be subject to a range of STDs, some of which are unheard of in straight people, are usually very promiscuous, are prone to drug addiction and suicide, the rates of which are still high even though society is more accepting of them, and will not live a long life as a result. So ask yourself this: if having same-sex attraction and acting on it is normal, why is it that the data seems to prove otherwise? That is not to say that their condition is wrong and needs to be fixed, but those with SSA should seek chaste lives and form strong friendships knowing that their relationships are not the same as one of a man and woman in matrimony.
Also, I am not fond of the term “homophobia.” It is a made-up word that implies that critics of homosexuality somehow have an irrational fear of it. Most do not. If I was really scared of gay people, I wouldn’t even have friends that are part of the LGBT community, which I do actually. To me calling someone that is as bad as calling a gay person the f word, and not the four letter one.
SHOCKING NEWS: The person who thought of Utena and Anthy’s relationship as just gals being pals, Pearl and Rose’s relationship as “vague and unclear”, and Ruby and Sapphire’s relationship as up for interpertation, turns out to be, in fact, a huge homophobe!
OMG! Sorry you had to deal with this Louchan. It boggles my mind how OP sites problems queer people face BECAUSE OF HOMOPHOBIA as reasons queer people aren’t happy. No shit, when we’ve had to deal with people like them. Just… wooow.
