Ok, you knew I was gonna make this post when I started getting caught up on recent Elementary posts, but it’s so surreal hearing them say Fiona over and over and over. Like fun (??) because “hey, that’s my name!” but also Americans say my name different to what I’m used to and it sounds funny.
I haven’t forgotten! I just ran outta time before work. I’m also curious about the Irene thing because I say it the British way as well (I’m assuming by British you mean it sounds like eye-reen??). How do you guys say it?
I’m not sure I have all the context here, but I’m a Midwestern American and I say eye-reen. I say Fiona, Fee-own-ah.
