Walmart has had food drives like this too. Thet urged customers to donate, so employees could afford a thanksgiving dinner with their families. Walmart didn’t actually donate anything though.
Related issue: these 2 companies telling employees they should apply for welfare and food stamps because they don’t pay a living wage, or offer affordable healthcare. Basically, taxpayer money is subsidizing these corporations because they refuse to pay the full cost of the labor they are exploiting.
